Flushing Car Air Conditioners
Car air conditioners will at times need to be flushed. In other words, you will periodically want to remove all oil from automobile air conditioners, and replace it with new oil. Unless you do this, you really can't know the amount of oil there is in your A/C system.
When you flush car air conditioners, you make sure you're getting rid of all the old oil in your system. This is important, since it's bad for the A/C to add a full complement of new oil on top of old oil. When you change air conditioning parts, specifically a compressor, you'll want to add oil, so it's necessary to flush your system first.
The flushing process is also a great way to eliminate goop and other contaminants from the air conditioning system. If this debris is left in your A/C, it can cause all kinds of problems, including damage to your compressor valves. By flushing, you eliminate the cause of this potential problem.
Even with the best maintenance, you might have to replace air conditioning parts from time to time. When you do, make sure you get the best available parts. These don't have to be brand new. If you buy from a highly reputable shop, the parts can be remanufactured, and still be top quality.
