Quick Tip Headlight Adjustment
Few tips on how to adjust vehicle headlights:
- You'll need a screwdriver and a wall or garage door to adjust the headlights.
- Start by parking on a level surface in front of the garage door or wall; turn on the headlights and look at the door or wall to see whether they are aligned properly.
- Using the large screw near the headlight (figure A), adjust the level and position of the headlight up, down or side to side. Tighten or loosen the screw to get the beam pointed in the right direction.
- Some newer cars have a level (figure B) that makes this process simple. Be sure to get the bubble in the level in position by turning the screw.
